Apply for a Collection Frequency Waiver

Eligible Commercial businesses in Unincorporated Santa Clara County that generate limited waste may apply for blue-container and gray-container collection every two weeks, rather than weekly.

Eligibility

Receive three-container (green, blue, and gray) waste collection service.
Submit documentation that your residence or business can maintain safe and sanitary conditions without weekly gray-container and/or blue-container collection.

Recordkeeping and reporting requirements

Provide written verification of continued eligibility every three years from approval of the waiver.
Immediately notify the Director if your business no longer meets the waiver requirements, in which case the waiver may be rescinded.
